Starting my career in the inner city of Chicago and then teaching and later becoming the language arts curriculum specialist on the near north side of Minneapolis, I have a personal interested in urban education especially related to reading. I teach literacy courses in the M.Ed./initial licensure program and the M.A. and M.Ed/professional studies programs. I also coordinate the K-12 reading licensure program here at the University of Minnesota.
