My main areas of interest, teaching and research are science teacher training and chemistry education. I am currently co-principal investigator on two projects; a National Science Foundation grant focusing on middle school and high school students understanding of the particulate nature of matter, and a TEL (technology enhanced learning) grant looking at the effects of integrating technology into the University of Minnesota's 5-12 science initial licensure program. I teach courses working with elementary, middle school, and high school licensure students and research methodology courses for graduate students.
