What do you do at ETC Services?

I assist students and faculty that have any questions about our services and resources. I also answer phone calls and organize the center.

Education

I am a third year undergrad in the business and marketing education program in the College of Education and Human Development. I intend to minor in African American studies.

How did you get here?

The associate director of ETC Services happened to be my academic adviser my freshman year at the University of Minnesota. She became such a great resource and motivator that I continued to work with her. She has a flair for “growing people” and she thought that I would be a good fit in the center.

What do you like about your job?

I love working with people. Working at ETC Services has given me a lot of knowledge of opportunities, programs, and resources this University has to offer. And it’s great passing that information along to my peers!

Most unusual job you ever had:

The most unusual job I’ve had would have been in a retail store. I was supervising one of the sales rooms and we communicated through a headset system. There were constant instructions, sales figures, and department requests being given to you all day through your earpiece. It was totally confusing at times!

More about you:

I love to experience new things and meet new people. I absolutely love Buffalo wings, spending time with friends, and laughing! You’ll always catch me with a smile on my face!

What tip would you give students for getting the most out of ETC Services?

There are so many resources the College of Education and Human Development has to offer so stop in the center and take advantage! I would advise students to take an active role in their education, and ETC Services is a great place to start!
