Kinesiology

The bachelor of science (B.S) program in kinesiology prepares individuals for roles in sports/health clubs or corporate fitness/exercise centers or serves as a background for exercise rehabilitation, exercise physiology, biomechanics, social psychology of sport, motor behavior, ergonomics, human factors, and other human performance contexts. This program prepares students for careers in fitness/wellness industries or the allied health sciences, such as physical and occupational therapy, medicine, and nursing. The undergraduate program can also be used as preparation for the master of education (M.Ed.)/initial licensure program in physical education, which prepares students for Minnesota teaching licensure in K-12 physical education.
