- The master’s degree requires 6 semester credits taken outside the
department that directly relate to the student’s area of study. These
courses should be selected in consultation with the adviser and should
constitute a solid coursework foundation for the student’s Plan B paper.
(Note: EPSY 5261 counts toward the related field requirement.)
Electives

- Elective coursework is determined in consultation with a faculty adviser.
Note: Students may petition to request consideration of up to six credits
of prior graduate level coursework transferred to the M.A.
Methodology
(6 or more semester credits)
- EDPA 5501—Principles and Methods of Evaluation (3 cr)
- Additional research methodology course to be identified with adviser (3 cr)
Plan B paper
(master’s paper) (2-4 semester credits)
- EDPA 5095—Problems: Educational Policy and Administration (2-4 cr)
Students will prepare a paper on an issue of relevance in school administration,
selected in consultation with the adviser.

Note: International students must register for an elective
course of 3 credits or more to maintain the required course load for visa
status during both fall and spring semesters.
