Graduate teaching assistantships and research support in QME

Great opportunity for graduate study in quantitative methods in education
at the University of Minnesota with salary, tuition benefits and

Benefits.) The Department of Educational Psychology within the
College of Education and Human Development is pleased to announce
the availability of multiple teaching assistantships and research
assistantships offered through the quantitative methods in education
(measurement, evaluation, statistics education and statistics)
track. The teaching assistantships will support qualified full-time
Ph.D. students to provide instructional support in introductory
courses in statistics. The exact nature of the duties of a student
appointed to a research assistantship will involve working on one or
more externally funded research projects. The assistantships are
nine-month, 50% time appointments providing one academic year of
support, with the possibility of future appointments, contingent on
satisfactory performance and the availability of funds. The
assistantships will be awarded on the basis of prior academic
performance and commitment to the study of quantitative methods in

New students beginning their graduate programs during fall semester
(December 1st deadline) are automatically considered for fellowships
which require nomination from the department. These fellowships include
Graduate School fellowships and departmental awards which are based on
scholastic achievement. Notification of awards will be mailed in March.
Spring, summer, and fall (March deadline) applicants will not qualify
for fellowships and may be disadvantaged in the way of TA/RA
opportunities. See
