School psychology admissions checklist

Include the following in your application packet:

___ Download the departmental application and fill out completely.
___ Enclose with your application a typewritten response (not to exceed three double-spaced pages) to the following question:

Identify a critical problem facing contemporary schools in America or another country. What do you think are the social, political, and/or economic factors that are contributing to this problem? What specific solutions might you propose to tackle the problem?

Also, in a separate statement (not to exceed two double-spaced pages), explain why you are interested in the profession of school psychology and what has influenced your decision to apply to the University of Minnesota. Additionally, we want to know why the U of M school psychology program is a particularly good match for you.

These statements are an integral part of your application and will be weighted heavily in its evaluation. Please sign these statements.
