- Getting involved
- Embark on a project with
Culture
Corps Program (ISSS)
With a Culture Corps Project, an international student works with a
faculty or staff member to design and implement a project to
internationalize the campus. Projects can be based in or outside of the
classroom and can vary in size from being a one-time event to occurring
throughout the semester.
- Share your culture with students in Minnesota schools through
International
Classroom Connection (Minnesota International Center)
The International Classroom Connection (ICC) matches Minnesota elementary
and secondary classrooms with international people to learn first-hand
about other cultures.
- Join the international community through the Minnesota
International Student Association
The Minnesota International Student Association (MISA) is a student
organization with over 4000 students and an alliance of 12 other strong
and representative student associations at the Univerity of Minnesota.
Through this network of member associations and help from the
University, MISA represents and defends the interests of international
students.
- Relax and meet new friends at the
Small
World Coffee Hour (ISSS)
Small World Coffee Hour (SWCH) gives all international and U.S. students,
staff and faculty the opportunity to meet with each other in a relaxing
environment and to learn about other cultures and traditions around the
world. SWCH events are free and take place every other Friday from 4:00 to
6:00 p.m. Approximately 200 people attend each event, so come join us in
the fun!
