Ms. Allison teaches in the undergraduate and graduate sport
management program and is a local Twin Cities attorney with a
national practice representing athletes, coaches, sport managers,
and sport corporations in the areas of Title IX, employment
discrimination, transactional issues, intellectual property, and
general business affairs. She is the founder of the Sport Business
Institute within the School of Kinesiology providing consulting
services to the sport industry while bridging classroom topics with
real world experience for sport management students. Ms. Allison is
a national speaker on sport law and sport management issues.

Mission
The University of Minnesota Sport Business Institute's mission
is to provide clients in the sport industry excellent business
consulting and research services, while allowing sport management
faculty and students real world experience in which to apply current
sport management theory and practices and to conduct research.
Teaching and research interests
The content areas in which Ms. Allison teaches are:

Ms. Allison provides consulting and research services through the
Sport Business Institute to local, national, and global sport
corporations for such projects as consumer research, creating
marketing plans, conducting economic impact studies, brand
management, designing and securing sponsorships, and sport
management organization and operational issues. Additionally she has
a long standing research interest in Title IX and college coaching
employment contracts.
