Ph.D. in kinesiology
Kinesiology Ph.D. students emphasize one of the following areas:
biomechanics and neural control, exercise physiology, human factors/ergonomics, motor development, motor learning/motor development,
sport and exercise psychology, sport sociology, or adapted physical education.
Degree requirements:
The Ph.D. requires 72 credits, (including at least 24 credits in kinesiology,
9 credits in statistical methods 12 credits in a supporting program
or minor—statistical methods courses may be included—and an
additional 3 credits in an any of these areas,) and 24 thesis credits. A 3.00
minimum GPA is required to maintain good standing and to graduate.

Exams: Preliminary written examination, preliminary oral
