Admissions

Freshman admissions

The School of Kinesiology does not admit freshman. If you're interested in one of our programs you need to apply directly to the University. Visit the University's Office of Admission Web site and follow their instructions. Once you've completed the requirements for admission to one of our programs you can apply to transfer to our college.

Prospective students are strongly encouraged to attend an information group meeting or meet with an adviser before applying. For more information, contact Student Services, 25 Appleby Hall, 128 Pleasant Street S.E., Minneapolis, MN 55455 (612-625-3339).

Transfer admissions

You may transfer into one of our majors after you've completed the required number of credits at either this University or another accredited college or university. If you are transferring from one degree program to another on the Twin Cities campus or adding an additional major, you must complete a change of college or admission to second undergraduate degree program form.

Curriculum requirements

All students must complete the University's liberal education requirements, including the Writing Intensive (WI) requirement. Semester liberal education requirements may be found on the Web at www.onestop.umn.edu/onestop/Registration/Additional_Registration_Information/
