Twin Cities — Center for the arts

Stroll through the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, one of the
largest urban sculpture gardens in the country. Visit the
historic Mill City Museum, winner of the National Trust for
Historic Preservation’s 2004 Honor Award. Or enjoy a play at one
of our three Tony Award-winning theaters: Children’s Theatre
Company, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, and Guthrie Theater. If
that's too stuffy, then consider the largest Fringe Festival in
the country. And you'll surely have time to enjoy one nearly 200
Minnesota Orchestra concerts performed each year. There's no
excuse not to visit an exhibit (or the gift shop) at the Weisman
Art Museum because it's right on campus.

The Twin Cities is second only to New York in per capita attendance
at theater and arts events. Minneapolis has over 100 theater
companies and more than 30 great venues. Residents and tourists enjoy several several
vibrant art festivals, such as the May Day Parade, Festival of
Nations, and Basilica Block Party, every summer.

The Twin Cities can also boast of thriving museum communities.
There's something for art lovers, history buffs, and science hounds.
A few are even on campus.
