Learning communities support first-generation students

First generation college students, Charles Helm and Mark Acesor, speak about their undergraduate experiences participating in small cohort classes with an interdisciplinary curriculum. They are the type of students Rashné Jehangir, assistant professor in the Department of Postsecondary Teaching and Learning, has interviewed to evaluate the impact of these learning communities.
