Fall-Spring 2008-09 Field Placement Deadlines
March 24 – Field placement information for Fall 2008 field placements available. Interviews may not be set up until April 8, 2008.
April 8 - Field Fair Orientation – 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Room 42 CECC Field Fair – 3–5 p.m., Continuing Education and Conference Center (CECC)
April 9 - Field interviewing begins
April 25 - Deadline for submitting Application for Internship at Place of Employment (see policy, p. 30 in Field Manual, application on p. 83 of Field Manual), or notifying field staff of intent to set up your own placement (see p. 28, Field Manual). Requests for internship at place of employment or setting up your own placement after this date will not be considered.
May 9 - Last day of field interviewing
May 12 - Deadline for submitting Student Choice of Placement form to Rosetta Chears. Form must be in the SSW administrative office by 4:00 pm.
May 21 - Matching week, done in collaboration with the MSW programs at Augsburg College and College of St. Catherine/University of St. Thomas.
May 27 - Notification week. Students and agencies notified via email of field placement matches. Students and agencies who did not match also notified. Agencies with openings asked about willingness to continue interviewing students over the summer.
