The work of child welfare is governed by public policy at the federal, state, and even the local level. Without an understanding of the legislative process and access to information about public policy, child welfare stakeholders have limited power in shaping and contributing to the future of child welfare services in Minnesota. At times, staying informed about what is going on with public policy can feel like an overwhelming task for child welfare stakeholders. The intent of this web page is to provide the child welfare community with the tools and information necessary to remain informed about state level public policy as it relates to the practice and provision of child welfare services in Minnesota.
