M.S.W. Program Options

The School of Social Work offers students flexible options for
completing the requirements of the Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree
program. Students in either the full program (50 semester
credits) or the advanced standing program (minimum of 34 credits;
available to students with an undergraduate degree in social work) can
choose:
- Full- or part-time study
- A concentration in direct practice or community practice
- Attendance on the Twin Cities campus or study through distance education on the campus of Minnesota State University Moorhead or the University of Minnesota Rochester
- Thursday/Friday/Saturday classes or classes in a weekend-exclusive format (Friday evenings and all day Saturday).
- Students who choose distance education or weekend-exclusive study are limited to the direct practice concentration.
