Our name has changed from the Department of Work, Community and Family Education (WCFE) to the Department of Work and Human Resource Education (WHRE) to better represent our programs and faculty interests. (List of Changes)

External review teams have judged the department as one of the best, most productive units of its type in the nation. In the 2009 U.S. News and World Report ranking of graduate schools., the department was ranked fourth nationally in the vocational education category.
