Adult education students are encouraged to become affiliated with professional organizations of their choice. Those organizations include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD)
• American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE)
• American Society for Training and Development (ASTD)
• Council for Adult and Experiential Education (CAEL)
• Literacy Minnesota
• The Literacy Training Network (LTN)
• Minnesota Association for Continuing Adult Education (MACAE)
• Missouri Valley Adult Education Association (MVAEA)
