Certification Testing
I am a specialist in career and technical education training
and evaluation systems, and job competence certification
testing. I have taught courses in performance-based
instructional design and evaluation, evaluating human resources
and development programs, and advance research methodologies. I
have published a book on Developing and Evaluating
Performance Based Instruction (3rd Edition, 2005). I have
done extensive work with business and industry on selecting,
training, and evaluating personnel to enhance personal and
job-related performance. I have also developed career education
systems for high schools to enhance students' preparation for
life and work, and technical education systems for technical
colleges for preparing students for specific occupations.
I am an internationally recognized expert in
performance-based instruction and evaluation and preparation of
people for work. I have conducted more than 50 research and
developmental projects that have resulted in numerous
publications. I have consulted with representatives from 18
different countries, the most recent being Taiwan, China, Japan,
and Australia. I have conducted studies for more than 20 major
companies, the most recent being Hoffman Engineering, Loomis,
Fargo Co., Merrill Publishing, Andersen Windows, and Ecolab. I
am a past president of the American Vocational Education
Research Association.
I am currently the president of Performance Training
Systems®, Inc.; a company specializing in performance-based
training and evaluation, and the development of job
certification tests. We have developed the national or
international certification tests for allied health
organizations and police standards testing.
