Evidence

Standard 3: Field Experiences and Clinical Practice

The unit and its school partners design, implement, and evaluate field experiences and clinical practice so that teacher candidates and other school personnel develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to help all students learn.

Field experiences are clearly connected to MBOT and NCATE standards, and conceptual framework. Evidence indicates that experiences are designed to impact student learning and meet individual candidate needs. Interviews, review of assessment data, and school visits indicate that candidates complete highly structured programs. Candidate completers and employer surveys indicate a high degree of satisfaction with knowledge, skills and dispositions demonstrated.
