Faculty are qualified and model best professional practices in
scholarship, service, and teaching, including the assessment of their own
effectiveness as related to candidate performance. They also collaborate
with colleagues in the disciplines and schools. The unit systematically
evaluates faculty performance and facilitates professional development.
Unit faculty members have extensive academic
backgrounds and hold an earned doctoral degree or
terminal degree. Unit faculty members model best
practices in teaching and learning and collaborate with
faculty from other units and from P-12 settings. Faculty
members are very productive in areas of scholarship and
provide extensive professional service. When rated by
candidates, they are considered to be excellent teachers
and scholars. They are involved in local, state,
national, and international organizations.
