Alumni Society Scholarship Funds:
Changing lives, one graduate at a time...

Each year a college education gets more expensive. Many of our students must balance work and family in addition to their studies. Your financial assistance will help pay for tuition and books and provide much needed support to these future education and human development professionals.

The Education and Human Development Alumni Society has created four scholarship funds – one that grants scholarships to graduate students, one that is designated for scholarships for undergraduate students and students enrolled in the post-baccalaureate initial teacher licensure program, one for students enrolled in the family social science degree program, and one to support study abroad.

Learning about and gaining firsthand knowledge of other cultures is an essential part of today’s college experience. To help students pay for their travel abroad experience, the CEHD Alumni Society has established a new Study Abroad Scholarship Fund (Fund 1831). When the fund reaches the $25,000 endowment level it will qualify for the President’s match program, doubling the annual payout.

The Alumni Society Student Scholarship (Fund 6011) was established in 2001 and is an endowed fund. Scholarships are given to graduate students through the Advanced Studies Student Scholarship program. Recipients of these scholarships are pursuing their master’s of education, special certificate, or doctorate degree in a variety of areas such as human resource development, educational psychology, educational policy and administration, social work, or family education. Each spring the alumni society grants several $500 scholarships from this fund.

The Promise of Tomorrow Scholarship Fund (Fund 7437) is an endowed fund created in 2004 that provides scholarships for undergraduate students in our human resources, kinesiology, foundations of education, and family social science programs, and also to students who are pursuing their initial teacher licensure.

The Family Social Science Future Scholar Awards (Fund 1466) is an endowed fund that provides scholarships to upper division students who are pursuing degrees in the department.
