Revenge of the Right Brainers

 

 

Location change! Due to the high interest in this program, we have moved this event to the Continuing Education Center (formerly Earle Brown Continuing Education Center) on the St. Paul Campus. Camp will be held in the Courtyard dining room on the first level. Parking is available on site and is $5.50 (cash or check).

 

 

Alumni and friends are invited to participate in this three-part program.

FIRST, you are asked to read A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future (2005 Riverhead Books) by best-selling author and former White House speechwriter Daniel H. Pink.

SECOND, you are invited to participate in Right Brain Camp—an interactive experience lead by Dean Darlyne Bailey and Minneapolis College of Art and Design professor Jerry Allan on Tuesday, May 6.

THIRD you are invited to attend the Great Conversations—Revenge of the Right Brainers featuring Daniel Pink and Dean Bailey on the evening of Monday, June 3. CEHD has a block of tickets that can be purchased through the Alumni Relations office. Attendees will also be invited to a complimentary pre-lecture reception.

Right Brain Camp

Tuesday, May 6, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Education Sciences Building, Room 325
East River Road (across from the Child Development building)

Complimentary light supper, overview of the key concepts discussed in A Whole New Mind, interactive exercises that will challenge the right brain in all of us, and fun!

Space has been filled for the Right Brain Camp, but you can still sign-up for the waiting list by sending a request to cehdexrl@umn.edu.

Great Conversations 2008Great Conversations (sponsored by the College of Continuing Education)

CEHD Alumni Relations has a block of seats reserved for the June 3 Great Conversation. Tickets for the event will be available for purchase after April 15. Participants in the Right Brain Camp will have priority in purchasing tickets at the discounted group rate of $20 each. Watch for the April Alumni Updates or send an e-mail to the above address and we will send you details about how to purchase tickets.
