Course Description
|
The purpose of this class is to provide
an in-depth training in the use of the DC 0-3R within the larger
context of assessment and treatment in infant and early childhood
mental health. The research context for the development of the DC
0-3R will be explored and concrete skills will be developed for use
of the DC 0-3R as an interdisciplinary diagnostic tool. The class
will be taught by two mental health clinicians, both with a strong
background in infant and early childhood mental health.
Pat Pulice, MA, LP, has many
years experience at Fraser providing assessments and treatment
interventions for very young children. Jane Ellison, MS, LAMFT,
has many years experience in infant and early childhood mental
health services in community settings such as ECFE, a community
battered women's shelter, and a child abuse and neglect prevention
program. Pat and Jane will combine their clinical and
interdisciplinary experience to inform the use of the DC 0-3R for
understanding and intervening in the needs of young children and
their families.
Participants should have had some
graduate level training in mental health.
