Early childhood education

If you are interested in working with very young children, you will not find a more exciting place to pursue your career development. Work with faculty from three nationally ranked programs—child development, educational psychology, and curriculum and instruction—and gain hands-on experience at the College's Shirley G. Moore Lab School, an internationally recognized model. You also will have immediate access to such unique University resources as the Consortium for Children, Youth, and Families and the Center for Early Education and Development. The program offers an integrated approach to early childhood development and early childhood special education, providing you with professional preparation that significantly increases your marketability.

Undergraduate (B.S.) degree in early childhood education foundations

This program prepares students for entry into the initial licensure program in early childhood and early childhood special education or to move into non-licensure educational settings.
 

M.Ed./initial licensure in early childhood and early childhood special education

Minnesota state licensure in early childhood (birth-grade 3) and early childhood special education (birth-age 6).
 

Certificate in early childhood policy
