Work and human resource education

The comprehensive work and human resource education program is an individualized program that is used by students whose professional roles are enhanced by completion of coursework selected from adult education; agricultural, food, and environmental education; business and industry education; and human resource development. This field of study attracts teachers, coordinators, supervisors, trainers, youth workers, community-based educators, extension educators, and others. Formerly know as vocational/technical (or vo-tech) education, it is part of a program that is ranked third in the nation (U.S. News and World Report).

Students combine study and related experiences to develop, apply, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate the practices and problems of education within these contexts; to asses the social, technological, cultural, and psychological issues of this field; and to contribute to the research in the field. The degree work is designed by the student and his or her adviser.
