The demand for leaders in agricultural, food, and environmental education grows stronger each day. Protecting the natural environment and feeding a growing world population are two of today's biggest challenges, and agriculture and science are poised to come up with solutions. Graduates of this program prepare to teach agricultural education in middle and high schools or to work in the booming agribusiness industries.

This program also prepares students for advanced degrees in agricultural, food, and environmental education, work and human resource education, agriculture, international development, marketing, and more.

Coursework

Foundation courses, such as communications, psychology, chemistry, and math

Major courses, including introduction to agricultural education, methods of teaching, crop protection, and current technical competencies

Emphasis area: agricultural leadership, training, and development; agricultural science and technology education; or natural and managed environmental education
