Women’s Philanthropic Leadership Circle
a new model for giving
While every woman is powerful in her own right, women working
together can be an even greater force for change—in their
workplaces, in their communities, and in the world.
The Women’s Philanthropic Leadership Circle (WPLC) was founded to
harness that energy and channel it into programs that support women’s
leadership in education. Our primary goal is to build a pool of
financial resources to support women students, staff, and faculty in
their scholarly pursuits. Through our philanthropic efforts we support
networking, leadership, and involvement among women. We bring together
women whose gifts, when combined, make a much more significant impact
than they would individually.
As a Circle member, you’ll be able to:
- Collaborate with a community of women in making a difference for
other women
- Coordinate and participate in educational opportunities for
women on finances, investment, and philanthropy, and do so in a
respectful and risk-free environment
- Create a living legacy
- Celebrate the impact of your philanthropy with others
How the Circle works
Members will decide annually, as a group, where to direct the
donated funds within the College. The Circle uses its donations to:
- increase educational scholarships and opportunities
- support women leaders through mentoring and research
- raise the visibility of women leaders in education and human
development
