Endowed
chairs and professorships
The College of Education and Human Development has nine endowed
academic positions established through the generosity of donors. Chair
positions are established at the $2 million level and professorships at
the $1 million level.
Each year, a portion of the earnings from the endowment are used to
fund these positions, and the balance is reinvested in the principal. The
funds used by the professor not only supplement his or her salary but also
support other needs such as research, graduate assistants, and equipment.
