Graduate
program information and admissions
Our graduate program offers training at the Ph.D. level for
research in normal human development. Students select one of three
options of study: general developmental psychology, developmental
psychopathology and clinical science (DPCS), or psychology in the
schools. In addition, students specialize in areas such as cognitive
development, language, learning, perceptual development, social and
personality development, or developmental psychobiology and neuroscience. Most graduates take positions in research or academic
settings.
The Institute of Child Development does not admit students for a
terminal M.A. degree.
