Christopher Johnstone, Ph.D.


Christopher Johnstone, a Research Associate, has been a member of the NCEO team since 2001. He holds a PhD in Educational Policy and Administration and a Master's Degree in Special Education. At NCEO he researches issues of accessible assessment related to students with disabilities and English language learners. Recent projects include studies on Universal Design, accommodations, accessible reading assessments, and state special education reporting. Dr. Johnstone has fifteen years of experience in disability-related occupations, including research, teaching, and consulting work that has taken place in Africa, Asia, and North America. In 2005, he will conclude two years of service as a Scholar at the National Leadership Institute on Disability and Students Placed at Risk.
