Completing your program: Master of education/professional studies

Students have seven years to complete their degree, beginning with the first coursework used in the program, and must maintain a 2.80 overall GPA.

M.Ed. degree completion

Final degree clearance depends on completion of all degree requirements, including the posting of final grades to the student’s transcript. These steps must be completed before a degree can be granted.

In addition to completing all program requirements, students must complete the following forms:

  1. CEHD Application for M.Ed. Degree and/or Certificate [.pdf]
  2. Final program form approved by a faculty adviser. Program forms are available from department offices or on the Web.

Student Services clears degrees for graduation on a monthly basis. Both forms must be submitted to a faculty adviser so they can be received at Student Services on or before the first day of the month that the student intends to graduate. Students who submit forms to Student Services after the first day of the month will be cleared to graduate at the end of the following month. Once the degree is noted on the University transcript, the student has technically graduated. The College holds one commencement ceremony each year in May to recognize all students in the College who have graduated within that academic year.

Commencement

The 2008 CEHD commencement has been scheduled Wednesday, May 14, in Northrop Memorial Auditorium. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m.

Students who have submitted the required forms will receive an invitation to commencement. You will be able to RSVP and request guest tickets on our commencement site.
