About me
Hello students! I am an academic adviser in the College of
Education and Human Development. I have over 10 years of experience
as an adviser; the last three of those years have been at the U of
M. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from St. Cloud State
University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from St.
Mary’s University. This fall I will be completing my last course
requirement toward my doctoral degree in educational policy and
administration. I have a long-standing commitment to providing
advocacy and support to students as they pursue individual
educational goals and I am fortunate that my work with students in
the College of Education and Human Development gives me the
opportunity to do just that.
I advise students in the Commanding English program (program for
non-native English speakers) as well as students interested in the
business and marketing education and human resource development
majors. You can set an appointment with me by calling 612-625-3339,
or you can email me with questions at
kamps008@umn.edu.
