Declaring your major/applying to the program

Students must complete 60 credits before admission to the program.

A minimum 2.50 GPA is recommended for this program.

Transfer admissions

There are two steps to the transfer admissions process.

  1. If you have never been admitted to the University of Minnesota, apply to the University of Minnesota.

    If you're a current University of Minnesota student, (including Duluth, Morris, and Crookston campuses) complete the Undergraduate Change of College form.
  2. Apply to the College of Education and Human Development. [.pdf]

Four to six weeks after the application deadline, applicants will receive written notification of CEHD's admission decision via e-mail and postal mail.

Freshman admission

If know you're interested in this program, but aren't yet a U of M student, we suggest you apply to the University of Minnesota and indicate preference for the College of Education and Human Development.
