Anna Mraz
Biography

My name is Anna Mraz, I grew up in Minneapolis and I have worked in student services and advising for nearly 20 years at the U of MN in various units including the College of Pharmacy, the College of Liberal Arts, and the College of Education and Human Development.  More recently I have also taught sections of courses related to identity exploration and academic success, as well as major exploration.  Working with college students continues to be a rewarding, challenging and exhilarating job and I am fortunate to do this work.

My own college journey includes a B.A. in History and French from UW-Madison, and a M.A. in Educational Psychology from the UMN.  I am lucky to be both a Badger and a Gopher!  While an undergrad at UW-Madison I spent my junior year abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France.  I enjoyed studying abroad so much that I found a student job in the study abroad office at UW-Madison during my senior year of college, and this student job sparked my interest in a career working with college students.

In my free time you will find me outside, seeking out new places to hike, spending time with my friends and family, and, more recently, learning to play pickleball.  I have two teenage sons, one in college and one starting college soon, and it is fascinating to have my personal and professional worlds collide!

We are committed to providing a comfortable, inclusive, and respectful environment for all members of our communities. If there is information you feel would be helpful for us to know, including disability or other accommodation needs, I invite you to share it with me directly or let the front desk know when you schedule an appointment.
