Staff positions

Assistant Teacher

We seek an individual to assist a classroom of children from all backgrounds and identities. This includes assisting in establishing a learning environment that is inclusive and developmentally age-appropriate; developing emergent curriculum; supervising; and monitoring child development, providing high-quality care, maintaining classroom materials, first aid, and daily health checks. The Assistant Teacher also supports and advances the school’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Post-Doctoral Associate

We seek an individual to conduct research in the Developmental Social Cognitive Neuroscience Lab. This person will work on longitudinal research projects examining developmental outcomes among children and adolescents. Specifically, the remotely conducted studies will investigate the alignment of measures and respective contributions of executive function, personal attributes, and economic preferences to typically developing children’s interest and achievement in STEM fields, and physical and mental health outcomes.

Observation Manager

We seek an individual with extensive experience working in childcare programming, data collection, and child and program assessment tools. This individual will serve as an observation manager for a project in early childcare settings across Minnesota. The person in this position will work closely with others designing, implementing, and analyzing the observation work on this project.

Director of Graduate and Professional Education Initiatives

We seek an individual responsible for setting a long-term vision in alignment with the college and University’s strategic plans. This includes developing policy and procedures that facilitate the administration of and accountability for graduate and professional education in support of students and ascertaining and responding to the viability and directions of graduate and professional education in the College with changing local, regional, and national demographics and workforce needs.

Early Childhood Program Observer

We seek an individual to conduct on-site observations in licensed early care and education programs located in childcare centers, schools, Head Start sites, and family childcare homes using early childhood observational tools. The observations are for research, evaluation, program rating, or program improvement. The individual in this position will be trained to be a reliable observer using the Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) 2nd Edition.

Admin Consultant/Analyst 1

We seek an individual to provide strategic leadership, project management, and oversight for all teacher licensure program continuous improvement reports and proposals for University of Minnesota approved in CEHD, CFANS, and CLA for continuing program review. This individual will engage with faculty to organize teacher education curricular and assessment initiatives underway, map standards, analyze data, inform goal setting, track redesigned program components, co-write narrative reports, assist with advisory board meetings, submit program renewal proposals, and prepare new program proposals.
