Once again, CEHD had a strong showing in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 listing of the best graduate schools. Among public universities, CEHD ranks 15th in the nation and tied for 24th overall.

On February 17, 2025, the College of Education and Human Development hosted a Policy Luncheon at the Minnesota State Capitol, bringing together approximately 50 educational leaders, policymakers, to discuss the future of computer science education.
On January 7, CEHD hosted more than 200 educational and clinical leaders and policymakers for a Policy Breakfast at McNamara Alumni Center on the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus.
Northern Lights Collaborative for Computing Education has been awarded grants of more than $2.2 million, including a subaward to Georgia State University, from Google.org for PrepareCS.
