CEHD increases its Shanghai Ranking to 21st best school of education in the world

The Shanghai Ranking’s 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects has named the University of Minnesota’s College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) as the 21st best in the nation among schools of education, both public and private. CEHD improved its ranking by 15 spots in 2024, after ranking 36th in 2023. Among domestic institutions, public and private, CEHD ranks 16th.

Shanghai Ranking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) rates universities in 55 subjects across the social sciences, engineering natural sciences, life sciences, and medical sciences. More than 1,900 out of 5,000 universities across 96 countries and regions are listed in the rankings. The GRAS rankings use a range of objective academic indicators covering evaluation categories such as world-class faculty, world-class output, high-quality research, research impact, and international collaboration.
