CEHD maintains high placement on U.S. News & World Report’s best graduate schools list
Once again, CEHD had a strong showing in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 listing of the best graduate schools. Among public universities, CEHD ranks 15th in the nation and tied for 24th overall.
Overall rankings are derived by scoring each school on several distinct factors, including faculty resources, research activity, student selectivity, and quality assessments from peers and other educational professionals.
Among specialty programs, educational psychology was ranked 8th best and special education placed 10th. Curriculum and instruction, which was not ranked last year, placed 28th best in the nation on this year’s list. Specialty program rankings are based on nominations by education school deans and deans of graduate studies at education schools.
When last ranked in 2022, the Institute of Child Development was named the number one ranked developmental psychology graduate program in the nation.
