Biography

Madison is a Class of 2024 University of Minnesota graduate who earned her B.A. in Anthropology. During her senior year, she took on an independent study where she studied interdisciplinary between Organizational Leadership, Policy & Development (OLPD) and Anthropology. Her senior capstone paper titled Speaking Out Loud About University Leadership Practices: An Anthropological Approach Towards Collective Leadership reported on her research interests about barriers in Higher Education administrative leadership and how to mitigate those barriers by implementing collective leadership practices.

Through professional development and continued education, Madison feels motivated to continue her career path in higher education as TRIO UB's Office Manager. She first gained her interest for TRIO programs when she was an Administrative Assistant for a TRIO SSS office at Riverland Community College in her hometown. She also spends volunteer hours working with LeadMN, a student advocacy organization, to mentor college students towards their professional and personal goals. She hopes that she will make a prompt return to continue her Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or Educational Leadership here at the University of Minnesota.

Austin, Minnesota is where Madison was born and raised, but Minneapolis is where Madison has made her home ever since she moved here to attend the University of Minnesota in 2022. She enjoys spending time with her dog Miley, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, going to baseball or soccer games, and playing video games.
