I am Teacher of English and German languages and Head of the Chair of World Languages at the Zhubanov University. I began my career as Teacher for first year students. My research and praxis interests focus on multilingualism, pedagogy and methodology, education management, leadership in education.
As a teacher, I am interested how the study of languages is represented in the brain, how and where our brains store our knowledge of the languages that we speak, understand, read and write. Particularly, I am extremely interested in how people who know two or more languages switch between them and how they keep them from interfering with each other.
My current research is focused on the multilingualism using the example of Kazakhstani schools and universities.
I am also the Head of the Chair of World Languages.
My main goal as a visiting scholar is to broaden my knowledge in the scientific area of interest on multilingualism and neurolinguistics; to build knowledge and capacity in research methods and innovative teaching approaches. The program is dedicated to contribute to my main professional and academic goal – Doctoral studies.
