Dinara Bekmukhanbetova

I combine scientific research and pedagogy during teaching undergraduate students in the scientific field, as well as master students in pedagogical direction. In my classes I use various teaching techniques such as Case study, Critical thinking, Brainstorming, Argue with Science, Peer-to-Peer Teaching Method and Virtual Laboratory simulations as part of teaching strategy to promote students’ interest in the subject.

Being responsible for international cooperation at the department, I participate in various EU Programmes such as Erasmus+ Programme (ERASMUS+) for education, training, youth and sport  with our European colleagues under Project- Gender equality in digital literacy and access to higher education to motivate Afghan citizens, especially girls and women to pursue higher education and careers in STEM  and also I organize double-diploma education with universities of near and far abroad. For the purpose of lecturing and holding joint educational events I visited Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences and Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health in Japan. The purpose of my internship is to get acquainted with the latest advanced innovative technologies in the field of education, exchange experience and opinions with colleagues, integrate theory to practice and to become familiar with the US educational system.

This program is a great opportunity for me to build knowledge and capacity in research methods and innovative teaching approaches and determine our plans for future cooperation with CEHD. An internship under this program will give me the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge at my university, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and prepare competent, professionally trained teachers.
