I am an Associate Professor of the Department of General Education Discipline of Astana IT University, (Kazakhstan). I graduated from Leningrad State University in St. Petersburg in 1991 (Russia). In 1998, I got a Ph.D. in Political Science at the Institute of Philosophy and Political Science of the Academy of Sciences in Almaty.
I was a visiting fellow at the Wisconsin - Madison University within the framework of the Bolashak program from 2014 to 2015. Аlso, I was a fellow of the JFDP program, funded by the program of the American Councils of Education of the USA, according to which I completed an internship in Western Madison University from December of 2008 to May of 2009. I am the author of more than 90 scientific papers, including 4 textbooks on Political science and Sociology, one collective monograph, 5 articles indexed in the SCOPUS database.
Currently, my research interests include studying the impact of e-government on improving feedback between society and the state, developing local self-government, and reducing administrative and petty corruption. My main goal for the CEHD Visiting scholars’ program consists of expanding knowledge about the methods of scientific research. Participation in the CEHD Visiting Scholar Program will help achieve my long-term professional goals - to publish articles in high-ranking journals, to create research that can interest researchers from different parts of the world, and to include Kazakhstan studies in the global scientific community.
